Come As You Are
A Culture of Reciprocity
We all have something to offer.
Welcome Om is an experiment in another way of being together.
We want to create a place where teachers and artists are honored for what they bring, the sanctuary is cared for and sustained, and money does not become the reason someone cannot participate.
So rather than asking everyone to give the same thing, we invite each of us to consider:
What am I able to offer today?
Sometimes we pay the community rate.
Sometimes we give a little more.
Sometimes we need a little support.
Sometimes what we have to offer is our time, our hands, our creativity, or our care.
All of these have value.
Pay It Forward
When you choose to give beyond the regular exchange, your additional offering helps make practice available to someone who may not be able to afford it right now.
In this way, one person's generosity becomes another person's invitation.
Community-Supported Practice
If money is keeping you from participating, please reach out.
When community-supported spaces are available, we want them to be used.
There is no shame in receiving. A living community needs people who are willing to give and people who are willing to receive.
Karma Yoga · Seva
Money is not the only thing we can offer.
There are many ways to participate in the life of Welcome Om, caring for the sanctuary, tending the land, helping prepare a gathering, making something beautiful, sharing a skill, or simply lending a hand where one is needed.
We call this Karma Yoga, or seva: service offered as practice.
It isn't about working off a debt.
It is another way of belonging.
Keeping the Circle Alive
Your participation helps us honor our teachers, care for this place, create new programs, and keep the doors open to people across different financial circumstances.
We are still learning what this kind of economy can look like.
It will grow and change with us.
But the intention is simple:
Give when you can.
Receive when you need.
Offer what you have.
Help keep the circle moving.
Welcome Om belongs to what we create together.
